Fundação Monte
The creation of this Foundation, by Monte Family decision, was the realization of the will of its members to promote the values of education and social solidarity.
The legalization process began on 12 August, 2010 shortly after the public deed of incorporation, having been legally recognized on October 17, 2012, by Order of the Secretary of State for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. Has as main purpose the promotion of education, social solidarity strengthening, support for public authorities and in the public interest and the development of infrastructures, grant alone or in conjunction with other entities scholarships and prizes to students, academic researchers and/or other natural or legal persons, to support the development of day care centers or homes in close harmony with the social security, help hospitals, fire stations and related associations and build or promote the construction of infrastructure in the public interest.
The Foundation will seek to collaborate and establish partnerships with entities that carry out or propose carry out activities similar in nature or complementary to the performed ones, particularly in the districts of Viana do Castelo, Oporto, Braga and in the municipality of Póvoa de Varzim in particular.
